Founded in 2002 affiliated with the Edmonton Fiji Sports Association, the Rangers started with a bold vision to grow competitive soccer in Edmonton and beyond. Fast forward 24 years later, the Edmonton Rangers have emerged as one of Alberta’s most dynamic adult soccer organizations. Built on a foundation of passion, teamwork, and community spirit, the Rangers bring together players from all walks of life to compete, develop, and represent Edmonton with pride.

Our Roots & Growth

What began as a local soccer club with deep community ties has grown into a versatile and ambitious organization competing across multiple disciplines of the sport. The Rangers field teams in outdoor soccer leagues, indoor leagues, and futsal competitions throughout Alberta and Internationally — from the Edmonton and District Soccer Association (EDSA), to national championships, and various international tournaments such as the Dulari Cup & The TST Tournament.

Competitive Play

The Rangers compete year-round in organized league play, including indoor and outdoor divisions under the EDSA, where they take on clubs across Edmonton with competitive spirit and tactical discipline. The club also participates in various international tournaments and events throughout the year in locations like New Zealand, The United States, and Fiji to name a few.

In futsal — Canada’s fast-paced indoor variant — the club has established itself as a powerhouse, clinching multiple playoff berths and titles in the Edmonton Futsal League. The Rangers have punched their ticket to postseason play repeatedly and defended their status as league champions, showcasing their high-tempo skill and cohesion on the court.

Provincial & National Success

The club’s futsal achievements include earning qualification and winning the 2025 Alberta Soccer Futsal Provincials, where the Rangers then qualified for the 2025 Canadian Futsal National Championship. On top of a Provincial Gold Medal, the Rangers would beat Nunavut & Saskatchewan before falling to Ontario in the final group stage match. The Rangers would beat Manitoba to win a National Bronze Medal in only its second year competing in Futsal.

Throughout each season, Edmonton Rangers players have excelled in local matchups — holding a record of 43 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses across Futsal and EMSA Majors league play over the last 2 years — and have continued to elevate the club’s competitive presence on the field.

Camps, Community & Tournaments

Beyond league play, the Rangers organize and participate in community-focused events such as the Edmonton Rangers Unity Cup, bringing players, supporters, and local soccer enthusiasts together in celebration of the game.

The club also hosts skill-building experiences like Futsal Camp 2.0, where athletes train, compete, and learn from some of the region’s top performers and our National Bronze Medallists.

International Participation & Player Pathways

True to their growth mindset, the Rangers support opportunities for players to compete beyond provincial borders. Through connections with national events like the Futsal Canadian Championship — Canada Soccer’s national futsal tournament — the club showcases its talent on the national stage and provides pathways for players seeking higher levels of competition. Our ambitions extend past our borders, with our club consistently sending players to tournaments overseas such as the Pacific Cup in New Zealand, and our next International tournament being the prestigious TST Tournament in Cary, NC.
